Please review the Korg Prologue 8

The Korg Prologue 8/16 series are analog/digital hybrid synthesizers, using the same architecture as the Minilogue XD, with its open source platform for its digital wave engine and filter. The prologue is essentially the same synth as the Minilogue with a higher polyphony of 8 or 16 depending on the model. The sounds that come out of this synth are really nice, the synth has a very distinct character with its analog/digital hybrid sound engine. Interestingly though the Prologue series does not have the step sequencer that the Minilogue has. The Prologue 8 sports an 8 voice polyphony and a 4 octave keyboard.

SYNTHREV RATING: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND INEXPENSIVE

PROs
- Great sounding hybrid analog/digital engine
- Multi-timbral
- Open source digital oscillator and filter
- Well priced

CONs
- Limited to 8 voice polyphony. Spend a little more and get the Prologue 16.
