Please review the ASM HydraSynth

The ASM Hydrasynth is a purely digital synthesizer, and it does sounds very digital, however unlike other digital synth it is very expressive and very melodic. This is due to a combination of multiple oscillators, five LFOs, five envelopes and two simultaneous effects, all this to create incredible and very complex sounds. What makes the sound even more expressive is the polyphonic after touch (a rarity in synthesizers) and the pressure ribbon similar to the one found on the infamous Yamaha CS80. The Hydrasynth can sound like a real violin which is one of the most expressive instruments in an orchestra, or like an out of control complex electronic device from the year 3000, and yes it can mimic Blade Runner sounds extremely well! If you don't mind the fact that the HydraSynth is digital then this is the king of digital synths.

SYNTHREV RATING: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND INEXPENSIVE

PROs
- Amazing sounding synth
- Great built quality
- Very well priced

CONs
- Unusual interface (although once you get used to it, very efficient)
